Front foot

1 The striker's foot that is furthest away from the wicket he is defending when taking guard. In the case of a right-handed striker it is the left foot.

2 The bowler's leading foot, ie the one nearest the striker, when in his delivery stride. In the case of right-handed bowler it is the left foot.
