Slip, slip cordon

A fielding position on the off-side behind the striker's wicket, between the wicket-keeper and gully. Slip is a close catching position and like the wicket-keeper, the slips move backward and forward depending on the pace of the bowler.
The fielders shown above are referred to as the 'slip cordon'
